During this part of the project, students will describe the procedures for selecting, modifying, and designing instructional materials, including when each choice is appropriate.
Select Strategies
For this lesson, a variety of instructional models will be used. Whole group instruction will be used at the forefront to introduce the standard and teach the content. Following, the station rotation model will be utilized to ensure understand for all learners. Some students may require a more intensive small group lesson, while other students are ready to practice the skill online via gaming. Small group instruction will focus on introducing new concepts, review goals and objectives, discuss reflections/assignment feedback, and/or reteach misconceptions. Online instruction is where students will practice the skills learned. Independent and Collaborative practice will require students to think deeper and to utilize the learning in different ways.

Select Resources
Technology and Media. This lesson involves the continued use of Google Classroom and Education.com to practice the standard being taught. Throughout the lesson students may utilize Padlet, Google Slides, and other creation applications to show their understandings. The following guidelines help me assess the appropriateness of my technology and media selections:
- Alignment with standards, outcomes, and objectives - The software provides the necessary tools for my students to meet the learning objectives.
- Accurate and current information - Information corresponds with SC State Standards
- Age-appropriate language - The software applications are easily accessible and third grade friendly.
- Interest level and engagement - The software applications provide features that enable the students to be creative and demonstrate their understandings.
- Technical quality - The software applications have superior technical quality.
- Ease of use - The applications require initial training and periodic review of functions for students to easily use the features. Students have frequent experience with these applications to be successful.
- Bias free - The game and applications are bias free.
- User guide and directions - The online help features of the software are moderately easy to use. Students most frequently ask each other, the teacher, or the technology assistant for help with technical difficulties. Students have routine experience with these applications to make learning successful.
Select Materials
This lesson includes Google Slides presentation and teacher-produced assignments that correlate with SC Standards. Materials are available on Google Classroom for student accessibility. The materials provide justification and clear understandings of how to be successful. Gameplay is utilized to practice skills taught in Google Slides presentation and through teacher produced assignments.
