Evaluate and Revise

Assessment of Learner Achievement
Throughout the lesson, I kept a close eye on student achievement in several ways. First, I monitored their progress throughout the whole group lesson by their active participation. Also, their achievement was noted by their ability to create the Google Slide to explain their understanding of Context Clues. Lastly, I was able to monitor student achievement through their game play by being available and monitoring students as they needed. In addition, student understanding was examined by their post-assessment scores.
Evaluation of Strategies and Resource
As a reflection of this lesson, the students enjoyed the interactive lesson, creation on Google Slides, and the game play that was involved in this lesson. Students were actively engaged and wanted "just 5 more minutes" on the game. However, I did notice that the game level was a little lower on the difficulty scale and could be a little more challenging for students. In the future, I plan to seek a new game that pushed students to the next level and is able to provide a little more of a challenge, while still being achievable. I felt that some of my students wanted to keep playing the game simply to see how fast instead of how well they understand. The current game would be great for the beginning, but for further learning a step up would be more fitting. The other components of the lesson were challenging and motivating for students to accomplish.
